Vision: Academic Excellence and Success
From Mr. R's Desk
In our walkthroughs we have seen some great lessons and we need to continue challenging ourselves and our students. It is understandable that in a 10-15 minute walkthrough we might not see everything but we should be able to see a glimpse of authentic learning and elements of the table below. Regarding the Classroom Environment, there is no reason anyone should be docked on those bullets. Again, keep in mind that our focus is more on what the learner is doing rather than what the teacher is doing.
The reflective teacher...
- Are all my students able to explain what they are learning?
- Do my students have multiple opportunities to demonstrate mastery through varied, relevant, rigorous activities?
- Am I on target with campus expectations, district goals, and more importantly, with student growth?
