(Those seem like small numbers, but they are substantial gains based on testing norms of expected growth a student should make throughout the year)
On the student culture survey administered to our grade 2-5 students this year
88.1% of students feel safe at school*
Only 2% reported they do not
86.8% of students believe their teacher cares about them*
Only 3.5% reported “no”
91.1% of students report their teacher believes they can learn*
Only 1.4% reported “no”:
Research shows, all three of these items are indicators have a significant impact on student success at school
*Note: "I don't know" was also an option for students which accounts
for the difference in "yes" and "no" percentages not equaling 100.
- We've also seen a 27% decrease in student discipline referrals compared to last year.
There is much to celebrate, take pride in, and build upon for next school year.
