April Showers have brought....
Happenings at Welborne
- Hotel Dieu Art Gallery - Congratulations to the following students whose art was chosen to hang in the halls of the hospital: Chloe B. Kirti H. Lucia M. Kaleigh S
- Grade 3 and 6 EQAO Asessments have finished at Welborne - congratulations to all students on a job well done.
- Our two touch football teams showed very well at the Calvin Cup Touch Football tournament with one of our team even clawing their way into the final with a last-second semi-final touchdown! Congratulations to both teams and thank-you to Mr. Large and Mr. Olmstead for coaching.
- Our Lego Robotics Team represented Welborne exceptionally well at the Provincial Lego Championships in Toronto this month. Congratulations to our team for qualifying for this prestigious event and than-you to Mr. Large for coaching.
- Welborne boasted 4 great junior basketball teams who did a great job at the LDSB District tournaments
- Our annual school track and field events were lots of fun for those involved. Thanks to Mme. Irvine for all her hard work organizing and to all who helped make these a success.
- Our school track and field team has been selected and will compete at the upcoming Region 5 Track Meet. Top finishers from this meet will go on to compete at the District Championship.
- Congratulations to our Hotel Dieu Art Gallery Winners: Chloe B., Kirti H., Lucia M., Kaleigh S., and Zach B.! If you are visiting COPC at Hotel Dieu, please look for the work of these students!
School Council Message: Family BBQ!
Dear Parents/Guardians,
The end of the 2017/2018 school year is approaching quickly! We are providing families FREE ADMISSION and participation in all events and activities at our 20th Annual End of Year BBQ.This event is scheduled for WEDNESDAY, JUNE 20th, from 5 – 7:30 pm.
We are very excited to have Mr. Olmstead’s band, REWIND, playing LIVE MUSIC. Other entertainment includes the Giant Inflatable OBSTACLE COURSE, Inflatable MAZE, Mini Putt, Giant Soccer Dart Board, Clowns and Balloon Artists. Our Senior Students are hosting a variety of fun activities to participate in, such as FACE PAINTING, HENNA and Temporary TATTOOS, Volleyball, Bean Bag Toss, Egg Challenge, Tug Of War. The Fire Department will also be on site offering tours of a Firetruck!
We will be selling hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, drinks, Cotton Candy, Popcorn and Sno Cones.
PLEASE MARK THIS EVENT ON YOUR CALENDAR AND BE SURE TO JOIN US!

Mr. Large’s & Mrs. Blackburn’s classes will be planning and creating a garden and green space to be used and enjoyed by all!
