SPRING DANCE CANCELLED
Due to low ticket sales, the Spring Dance has been cancelled. Those who purchased tickets will receive a refund in 4-7 days. We apologize for an inconvenience this may create. We hope to see seniors at Prom and underclassmen at next years homecoming.

SPECIAL SCHEDULE WEEKS
Some weeks of the year with non-student days require a change in the daily schedule.
These days are altered to ensure even distribution of class periods for the week.
Apr 3, Monday- 8:30 AM start, EVEN Block day schedule due to Good Friday on Apr 7.
Junior Lunch Passes
Juniors! Because you are so awesome, we are allowing students who meet the requirements for a senior lunch pass to apply and receive a lunch pass for the final quarter of their junior year.
Beginning Monday, March 13th, students who meet the requirements listed below may come to the attendance window at 7:30 AM to receive a lunch sticker for their ID. Students MUST have their valid ID with them to receive their sticker.
* Student is currently a 11th grade student
* Student has a GPA of 2.0 or higher
* Student has a 90% attendance rate and has not received a letter of truancy
* Student has acceptable behavior-no disciplinary actions
* Parent/Guardian has read and acknowledged the "Disclaimer" section
* Parent/Guardian has completed and approved the Lunch Pass Application
ACADEMICS INFORMATION
Peer Tutoring
Royal High School's Center for Academic Success ("The CAS") provides academic support for students experiencing challenges through weekly tutoring and guidance from upperclassmen student tutors from our chapters of National Honor Society and Math Honor Society.
Housed in our Library building in Room 2-2, the CAS is equipped with editions of each of our course textbooks and full access to all of our Library resources.

SPOTLIGHT ON.....Universal Technical Institute
FAST FACTS:
Universal Technical Institute (UTI) offers career-training programs dedicated to the next generation of skilled trade workers. Their programs offer students opportunities to learn in-demand skills, earn certifications and credentials that employers want, and to further their education.
UTI offers 15 different pathways toward a career with locations in Long Beach and Rancho Cucamonga.
UTI’s Automotive Technician Training program offers training in diagnosing and repairing major automotive mechanical and electrical systems, plus manufacturer-paid training on Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, and Porcshe.
UTI’s Diesel Technican Training programs offer training on big engines and heavy-duty truck repairs, machinery, and industrial equipment, plus manufacturer-paid training on Peterbilt and Fendt.
UTI’s NASCAR Technician Training program trains students to work on high performance engines, fabrication and welding, aerodynamics and pit crew essentials.
UTI’s Motorcycle and Powersports Technician Training offers training on diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing domestic and import motorcycles, personal watercraft, side-by-sides and ATVs. Specialized training on Harley-Davidson, Honda, BMW Motorrad, Suzuki, and Yamaha.
UTI’s Marine Technician Training trains students how to repair inboard, outboard, and sterndrive engines covering gas and diesel engines, rigging and electrical systems.
UTI’s Robotics and Automation program focuses on training students how to install, maintain, and repair automated machinery and equipment using industry-standard tools and technology.
UTI’s program in Energy Technology focuses on teaching power generation, wind power, and solar energy.
UTI offers additional training programs in Non-Destructive Testing, Airframe & Powerplant, HVAC, Aviation Maintenance Technology, Welding, CNC Machinist, and Wind Power.

JOIN PTSA!
Please consider supporting your Royal High School PTA by joining the PTSA for only a $7.00 fee.
Your membership dues help the many programs offered at the school such as Reflections, Every 15 mins, Distracted Driver, Scholarship Awards, and the Senior BBQ among others.
As a member you have a voice and vote at all PTSA Association meetings, you can advocate for students and teachers at the state level, and it also provides college scholarship opportunities for eligible students (qualifications include a 2-year membership.)
Membership DOES NOT require you to volunteer, but volunteers are welcome.
