APEX is Coming Next Week to Sunnyside!

The Apex team is coming to Sunnyside on Monday, January 27 and will stay until Friday, February 7 to teach students about leadership values while raising funds to help our school with field trips and the general PTA fund! This year's theme is GAME ON which will promote the importance of good habits through interactive lessons. All students are included in the program regardless of fundraising capabilities and will participate in the Apex Fun Run on Thursday, February 6 during student specialist times. We will need volunteers to help the Fun Run day, stay tuned for further details. Thank you for your continued support to help our school and community.

Communication Night and Food Drive

Sunnyside's Second Common Communication Night is next Thursday, January 30th from 4:00 to 7:30pm. If you have not yet had the opportunity to sign up for a time to meet with your child's teacher, please do so here. Sign up will close at 6:00pm on Wednesday, January 29th. Also, we will be accepting donations to the Ralph Reeder Food Shelf that evening as well.

Third Grade Open House!

Third Grade families are invited to an Open House on Thursday, January 30th from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. Stop in to see your child's classroom work, including the civil rights unit that third grade has been working on all month, and check out the art in the hallways. You are also welcome to visit Intervention Teachers, EL Teachers and all the Specialists. Hope to see you there!

Students can now receive text alerts

Parents, you can now add your child's cell phone number to ParentVUE so they can receive text messages and robo-calls about school closings, significantly delayed school buses, emergencies and other alerts. To subscribe your student to these occasional urgent messages, read the easy instructions here.

FeePay Unavailable

Technical difficulties continue to prevent families from accessing FeePay through ParentVUE. Until FeePay restores service, families can make a Nutrition Services payment for a student's meal account by visiting www.paypams.com or by using our school's payment drop box to deposit cash or a check.
