Madison Cares Continues with Third Grade Volunteers and Donations
Last month, third graders packed 30 plastic boxes of personal care items to be donated to clients staying at a DuPage Pads facility. They also wrote 40+ thank you cards to the nurses and healthcare workers at Central DuPage Hospital. Thank you to our student volunteers and the third grade parents forthe generous donations.
This year each grade has the option to take part in one project during their lunch recess to support the local DuPage Pads organization. In addition to the care packs, so far Madison students have:
- Created activity bags for children (1st Graders)
- Made Valentines cards with a prepackaged treat (2nd Graders)
- Made fleece blankets (5th Graders)
Coming up, grade levels will put together baby care donation packs. If you are interested in volunteering during your student’s project, or have questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
