Principal's Message
I hope you had a restful and wonderful Spring Break! Yesterday our teachers attended Professional Development and got ready for students tomorrow. We we were so excited to see them today!
We have made some changes to some events, which are included in this newsletter and will be sent home.
Also, we are providing some reminders for our dismissal process. It has been brought to our attention that we are blocking areas on Canyon Village Trace Dr. and Apache Point Dr. Please do not block any driveways or sidewalks when picking up your students who walk. We are more than welcomed to give you a number so you can come through the car rider line. Let's be safe.

We use P.R.I.D.E. to introduce our campus expectations. Teachers have Morning Meetings to build community and reinforce these expectations.

Please make sure your child is here every day!
Breakfast is served from 7:30-7:55am.
Tardy Bell rings at 8:05am.
***Parents who are dropping off after 8:05am will need to park and sign students in the front office due to safety. We appreciate your cooperation with this!***
In order for your child not to be marked as unexcused, you need to notify the school when your child is going to be absent. You MUST provide note to the school within 48 hours of the student's return to school.

Important Information - Playground Hours
- The playgrounds and equipment will NOT be open to the public during school hours. Anyone on campus using the playground will be asked to leave.
- Students are not permitted to play on the playground without adult supervision or unattended. Once we are finished with dismissal after 4:00pm, you are more than welcomed to start playing beginning next Thursday.
- Please do not leave trash on school grounds and clean up after yourself. We want to maintain our playground nice and clean.

On Weekends, it is open to the community all day!
Estamos entusiasmados de abrir nuestro nuevo parque de safari de la escuela , pero debemos asegurarnos de seguir las siguentes reglas.
- Los patios de recreo y el equipo NO estarán abiertos al público durante el horario escolar. Se le pedirá a cualquier persona en el campus que use el patio de recreo que se vaya.
- No se permite que los estudiantes jueguen en el patio de recreo sin la supervisión de un adulto o sin supervisión. Ya cuando terminemos con el despido después de las 4:00 p. m., están bienvenidos para comenzar a jugar a partir del próximo jueves.
- Por favor, no deje basura en los terrenos de la escuela y límpiela usted mismo. Queremos mantener nuestro patio de recreo agradable y limpio.

**Please drop of your child no later than 7:45am if you would like for them to eat breakfast at home.**
8:00am - Cafeteria Side Doors Close - Parents will need to park and escort child to office after this time.
8:05am - Tardy Bell Rings
Pick Up Times - Parents will need to park and pick up students from FRONT OFFICE after 3:45pm!
2:20pm - Last time for any Transportation Changes
2:40pm - Last time to pick up students before Dismissal Time
3:10pm - Dismissal Begins
3:45pm - Car Riders that have not been picked up need to be picked up in the front office.
4:00pm - All students should be picked up.; Front Office Closes.
Walkers - Important Information!
Safety is our priority for all students! We appreciate your cooperation with this matter!

Lunch Visitor Policy
Parents/Guardians wishing to have lunch with their child are welcome on the assigned days. Bring your ID - as visitors must check in with the front office to obtain a visitor's badge. Please be respectful of the following procedures when visiting Park Lakes for lunch:
- Visitor badges must be worn and visible at all times when you are in the building!
- Lunch guests are required to sit at the special "guest" tables located on the stage and should only sit with their child.
- Lunch guests may not walk around the cafeteria to visit with other students and may not share/purchase food for any other students except their own.
- In order to avoid crowding, visitors will be asked to wait in the front foyer until it is lunch time and are asked to stay only for their students' lunch time.
- All visitors must check out with the front office when lunch is over.
