The WE LEAD Gender Equality team is the hosting the Clothesline Project as part of our campaign for Domestic Violence Awareness for the month of October. Come by the area right outside of Aladdin at lunch or dinner on Wednesday Oct. 28th or Thursday Oct. 29th and decorate a shirt with a fact you know about domestic violence or your own personal story. The shirts will be displayed Friday, Oct. 30th. The Clothesline Project (CLP) is a program started on Cape Cod, MA, in 1990 to address the issue of domestic violence. It is a vehicle for victims of violence to express their emotions by decorating a shirt. They then hang the shirt on a clothesline to be viewed by others as testimony to the problem of domestic violence. With the support of many, it has since spread world-wide.

They are either sick, or do not have the parental support which makes them unable to enjoy the smiles and laughter that candy can bring. We LEAD children and youth team is hosting a candy drive and we need your help! We are asking for donations of bags (reusable shopping bags), candy, and small nick knacks (can be anything ranging from a teddy bear, a toy car, or a water bottle). Help us put a smile on the face of children and put hope back into their hearts !
