Class of 2013 alumnus Matthew Ko named to the 2022 Forbes 30 under 30 list

Congratulations to Mustang alum Matthew Ko (Class of 2013) who just made the Forbes "30 under 30" list for the Healthcare category.

Matthew Ko and Akilesh Bapu, who co-founded DeepScribe, built an AI-powered medical scribe that automates clinical documentation for physicians. The software listens to patient conversations and its AI fills out the medical forms, enabling doctors to spend more time with patients than on a computer screen. More than 500 clinicians across 44 states currently use the software.

Celebration of Remembrance for Coach Jerry Dutton | 12/11

It is with great sadness to share that Coach Jerry Dutton passed away on Friday, November 12. Coach Dutton came over from Nogales High School with Principal Ken Gunn in 1968 to help open our school. Both Ken and Jerry were UCLA graduates, which inspired WHS school colors and fight songs. Coach Dutton invested over forty years at Walnut High School as a teacher, coach, summer school administrator, and GLC. After he retired in 2005, he came back to coach football for another 10+ years. Coach Dutton LOVED Walnut High School, the students, the staff, and the community. Below is service information and details if you would like to join us on December 11.

Due to safety concerns, we DO NOT accept student lunches in the office. We understand the importance of student nutrition, but we encourage students to either purchase lunch at school or bring their lunch from home. Food, drinks, or other items are NOT to be passed to students through the fence. This is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.

Please Note: Parents can now access the Food Services Department from our website under the Parents tab. On that page, parents can set up and deposit funds into their student's lunch account for purchasing lunch on campus.
