Scholastic Book Fair
All purchases benefit the Brooks School Elementary Library

Ok, so that's a pretty weak tribute to the William Carlos Williams poem, "The Red Wheelbarrow," but I hope I caught your attention. Scholastic Book Fair isn't kind of a big deal. It's a really big deal. SBF is the number one funding source for our school library. Hamilton Southeastern Schools provides around a dollar and a quarter per student for its libraries. That figure is not even enough to replace the number of lost and damaged materials each year.
All SBF purchases benefit the Brooks School library. This school year we want to build our collection of graphic novels and comics. These shelves are bare any given day, and the research is voluminous on their value with young readers.
Please consider visiting the book fair. If you're struggling to find titles with literary merit among the stacks of what I call merchandise, come find me! I'm glad to walk the fair with you. It would be my pleasure!
