'Twas the Night (4 Days) Before the 1st Day of School
The first day of school is quickly approaching. We were so excited to welcome everyone back to the halls of the Rock during our Open House Event today. We enjoyed seeing and connecting with everyone.
Below is a lot of important information, including items that must be addressed before the first day of school.
As you help your child pack a backpack and pick out the outfit, they love most for the first day, it will be helpful to take a pause and have some important conversations. Make sure your child knows how to put on his/her mask and wash hands for 20 seconds. Students will have extensive practice opportunities at school to hone these skills and having initial talks at home are important.
It will also be important for you to have a conversation with your child about your family's plan for arrival and dismissal. If riding a bus, practice walking to the bus stop and home together. If a walker, practice walking to and from school. It would be helpful to have children follow their routine for arrival and dismissal beginning the first day.
Please read the information below carefully and do not hesitate to reach out to the school if you have any questions.

Student Tag System: Parent Pick Up & All Kindergarten Non-Bus Riders
For students being dropped off and picked up by car, families must park in legal parking areas along the street. In the afternoon families will be required to pick-up students with an ID and the assigned tag number at Door 4 (on parking lot side of building).
We will begin distributing tags at our Open House on August 19th. If you cannot get one on this day, call our main office to schedule a time to pick up your tags.
Bus Stop Information
***Kindergarten Students***
Kindergarteners must be met at the bus stop by a parent or other authorized person with an ID. A Kindergarten Authorization form must be completed and submitted to the school prior to riding the bus. Click on the school bus link below for the form. Forms will be available in your child's classroom during Open House on August 19th.
