Woods Lake Elementary
Weekly Update October 26-30, 2020
From the Desk of the Principal
Hello Woods Lake Family,
Thank you for your participation in the parent surveys regarding your preference to remain remote or transition to the hybrid learning model for the second trimester for families that selected option one. We value your input and will continue to seek your opinions as we navigate through this unique school year.
As you are aware, the Kalamazoo Public School District made the decision to remain remote for the second trimester, for families that selected Option 1. We will move into the second trimester on November 30th as we continue to engage students in meaningful learning. Thank you for ensuring that your child is logged on and participating daily!
Parents seeking consideration for their child to move from Option 2A to Option 1 (Three-Tiered model) have been provided a survey link to complete by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2020. See below:

Box Tops for Education

Box Tops for Education
Yes, Woods Lake is still collecting Box Tops!! Due to the pandemic Box Tops for Education is allowing ANYONE with traditional Box Tops clips to submit them on their own. To learn how to submit unexpired traditional clips, watch this video, and use these step by step directions to access the submission form that must be included for Box Tops clips to be counted. This year, all Box Tops fall submissions must be postmarked by November 2.
If you are not able to submit the Box Top clips yourself please put them in a baggie and bring them into the school office by Tuesday, October 27th. Office hours are Monday-Friday 8-4:30 pm.
The Learning Hub has a Social Emotional Learning webpage with a Family SEL Guide and interactive links, PDFs to print, and more!
