Principal Message

Dear Sequoia Families,

Thank you all for your patience this week during our school closures due to the PG&E power shut down. We know some of you are still without power and hope restoration for all our Rincon Valley families happens soon! I am glad to have your children back on campus and back to a normal schedule for everyone.

Next week is a busy week starting with Tuesday, October 15th being picture retake day! If your child missed picture day last month, please make sure they are here Tuesday morning.

Next Thursday, we will take part in The Great Shakeout with all other schools in California. Our earthquake drill will take place at 9:30am. Next week you will receive a green colored document with more information about what you can do during a school emergency. In short, please remember if ANY emergency happens at school we need all parents to wait for school communication about updates and the reunification process. If we have to put a reunification process in place, we will ask that parents or guardians have a photo ID so we can ensure students are released to an approved contact. Please don't hesitate to be in contact with me if you have any questions about our protocols or procedures regarding safety at Sequoia.

Because we weren't sure if school would be in session today, we rescheduled our walkathon for Friday, October 18th. Luckily, all our vendors were available and we look forward to a great day next week! Emails with more information will be coming soon if you volunteered to help or to bring equipment or food.

Hope you have a great weekend!

Mrs. Clark
