Morning Traffic

The drop off traffic can be a little congested. Here are a couple hints to make this a little easier:

1. Try dropping off high school students at the bottom level of the school (along the football field)

2. You can drop off earlier. The buildings open at 8:00 am

3. Identify a school side sidewalk drop off

4. Carpool

These are just a few ideas to help lessen your drop-off time.

Attendance Recovery

On Tuesday, 8/25/21, students needing to complete afterschool or Saturday seat time to make up for absences during the spring semester last year. They will be given information on when, where and how much time they need to be present for to regain credit for classes they lost credit in last semester due to missing more than 10%. This information is also being mailed to the homes of these students as well.

All attendance recovery time will take place in the high school cafeteria. Students can come any day to complete their required hours. On Saturdays, the only entrance/exit that can be used is the high school auditorium entrance. The last date to make up attendance for last semester will be Saturday, September 25th.

If you believe that the absences were unavoidable due to extenuating circumstances, you can complete an attendance petition for the attendance committee to consider waiving the absences and granting credit. This form will be included in the letter, but if you need another one, you can contact anyone in the school office and they will email a copy to you.

If you have any questions about this, you can contact your child's assistant principal:

8th/9th Grade: Mr. Adams at phillip.adams@fwisd.org

10th/11th Grade: Mrs. Schwalls at michelle.schwalls@fwisd.org

12th: Mrs. Mason at glorianne.mason@fwisd.org
