Meet the Teacher
Mrs. Jill Pierce was our selection for the month of January. She has been a teacher for seventeen years. Mrs.Pierce has been married for twenty-one years and has four children. Her children attend Hatton Elementary and Hatton High School. She graduated from Hatton High school which is one of the reasons she chose to teach here. Mrs. Pierce had thirteen years of preschool experience prior to being hired at Hatton. She has been the Pre-K teacher for the past five years. She says being a teacher was something she always wanted to do. She loves her job and wants to truly make a difference in the lives of children that she teaches. Her favorite part of HES is the family atmosphere and the way the school and community work together to help anyone they can. We are so glad to have Mrs. Jill as a part of HES!
Unsung Heroes - February's Theme is "Always Positive"'
An "Unsung Hero" is a student that isn't always in the limelight but their character stands out to teachers and staff nonetheless. This months teacher nomination is Hector Whiston. The theme for this month is “Always Positive.” Hector has always had a love for learning and life in general. His teachers have noticed that Hector is always upbeat and positive and looks at things in a very unique way. I think we could all strive to be a little more like Hector in order to make the best of every day!
