Kindergarten is dreaming big with their future careers!
Teachers are learners too!
As a campus, we are hungry to learn better ways to grow this model to benefit our students. Here are a few steps we are taking to invest in our teachers as learners:
- Next week some of our teachers from 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades are attending the Jeff Anderson writing workshop. They will learn creative ways to use mentor texts to teach grammar and inspire our young writers. #DesignThinking
- All 1st grade teachers started in a Guided Reading learning cycle yesterday with our LT instructional coaches. The coaches will be working along side the teachers to increase the growth of every student using innovative Guided Reading strategies and techniques. #LearningTogether
- Seven teachers on campus are participating in district ALE learning workshops building Authentic Learning Experiences (ALE) in their classrooms. We can't wait for our students to experience this integrated real world learning. #LifeReady
We love our Watch DOGS dads & grandpas! Thank you families & community for investing in our students.
Our LT district leadership team visited campus this week to explore the amazing learning happening at SHE.
Some 5th graders are preparing materials for an exciting Reader's Theater presentation. We can't wait to see it in action.
Spanish Lunch Bunch Class is a hit! This group was totally immersed in Spanish instruction learning the colors.
Math "Trasketball" review in 4th grade where learning is social. Who says test review can't be fun?
Technology integration and exploration is happening all over campus. Ask your child about it.
