Beethoven Early life

Van Beethoven was born on December 17, 1770 in Bonn Germany. He was One of seven kids and only 2 others survived till adulthood. He had a gentle mother named Maria and a hard-drinking, demanding father named Johann. His father would give the children of the nobility music lessons. He would open the window shutters to hear the musical noise. He absorbed the music and began to play.

Beethoven's Adult life

Beethoven had moved to Vienna in 1787, he was 17. He played piano for Mozart in Vienna. Beethoven only stayed for a little while because of some family tragedies. He returned to Bonn to a dying mother. Then shortly after his infant sister died and his father lost his job. So Beethoven had to take responsibility for his falling family.

Beethoven's Famous Pieces

Beethoven had created 9 symphonies during his life time. He created Fur Elise and the Moonlight Sonata for the women in his life. Some of his famous symphonies include Symphony NO. 5 known by it's famous da-da-da-daaah. In 1804 he created symphony NO. 3 "Eroica" This symphony was about Napoloen and his greatness but then Beethoven changed it to a memory of a great man. His symphony NO. 9 broke records. It was his best music piece.

Beethoven's Deafness

At the age of 28 Beethoven started to lose his hearing. At this time he was just starting his first symphony. He tried every treatment out there at that time but it was no use. In the beginning he could hear a little bit, but he completely went deaf during the last decade of his life. Beethoven kept making music till he died. He never gave up. Beethoven's last words were "I will hear in heaven."

Beethoven's Temper

Beethoven was a really short tempered person. He would get mad at anything. His temper was well known. He would throw hot food at waiters, swept candles off piano during a bad performance. Having this temper didn't mean he was mean, he was a really nice person.
