What's Happening in the Forest

Thank you for your outstanding support for our Spring Fling! We had to move the event indoors because of inclement weather but everyone still had a wonderful evening of great food, tons of games and raffles.

Congratulations to our Battle of the Books team who won first place in the regional competition on Monday in Kinston and our Math Counts team who won first place today in the district competition. Kudos to Jacob Moats who won 2nd place in the individual Math Counts competition. It's good to be an eagle!

Please remember that this upcoming week is Teacher/Staff Appreciation week in the forest. K-2 parents are asked to bring in breakfast items on Monday and our 3-5 parents on Thursday. Our PTO will provide lunch for our staff on Wednesday. Recommended breakfast items include muffins, bagels, yogurt and juices. We appreciate your assistance in making this a special week in the forest!

Mark your calendars for our upcoming events:

May 4-8: Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week

May 12: Step-Up Night - take advantage of this opportunity to visit classrooms to see what next year holds for you and your student.

May 13: Strategic Planning for 2015/2016 from 4-6pm - we are in need of parent volunteers. Please consider attending and offering input about our upcoming year.
