The Scoop from the Snake-pit!!
DMS Library Newsletter | August 2023
Welcome Back Snakelets!!!
Yes, baby snakes are called SNAKELETS (rhymes w/bracelet & piglet). Welcome to all the new faces on campus. I am your librarian, Ms. Darnell. I hope you're refresh, reignited and ready to LEVEL UP for our students this year. So many of your were supportive of the library last year and in case I didn't get a chance to thank you personally, please know that I value every bit of support you give the library. Within this newsletter you'll find a library orientation, tech tips, the fall title for our book club via the newly created LIBRARY GUILD, our "Batty in the Library" and much more. I salute you all & wish you a fantastic year! ๐น๐ชท
DMS Library Expectations, Policies & Procedures
I've taken the liberty to create a DMS LIBRARY ORIENTATION this year to help library visits run smoothly and set our CHAMPs behavior expectations. Please share this presentation with your classes before you bring them down to the library before check-out. There's a PDF version below as well. You can also auto-play this presentation in Canva.
Thank you,

Also, if you'd like to read this book as a group, then join the LIBRARY GUILD! We will read this book and then take a deep-dive in discussing exactly what makes this book remarkable.
DMS Library Guild
The primary aim is to create a supportive and engaging environment that encourages students to explore literature, share their passion for books, and contribute positively to the library community. For more details, check the library orientation slides OR check out our DMS Library Guild Membership Guidelines.
