Best Practice
As with anything else on the internet it is imperative to review the information and feedback you get from AI tools. There are errors and incorrect information that can be populated. We must remember that AI tools have not been around very long and they are still working to correct errors. Some of the below sites are still in Beta mode, meaning they are new and being built. ChatGPT came out in fall of 2022....this hasn't been around even a year yet so we are all still learning about it.
AI Tools for Educators
CHATGPT
What is it?
ChatGPT is an interactive way to get information by asking questions or ideas for topics. You can ask it to create rubrics, write an idea you have to have a more professional tone or casual tone.
Cost?
There is a paid version of ChatGPT, but based on what we are seeing the free version works great.
Things to know....
ChatGPT was released in the fall of 2022. Not all current events will show up. There is also some misinformation that can be put down, so always check to ensure that the information it gives is accurate.
AI for Education
What is it? This website gives you various prompts that you can use to help you navigate your searches and prompts to CHATGPT. I appreciated that it gives you the prompt and place holders with word or phrases so you know specific information to add to assist with the search.

Eduaide.Ai
What is it?
This resource is designed for educators! It has over 75 resource types to choose from for a variety of school subjects and tasks. Ideas and strategies shared can sometimes include links to resources that can help with the idea and strategies it shares. These include: essay review, class announcements, syllabus outlines, reading article finder, land and material lists, ice breakers, discussion prompts, IEP outline, Lexile increaser or decreaser, substitute planner, create rubrics, and so much more!!!

Right now it is showing as a free tool.
MagicSchool.ai
What is it?
This is another educator AI toolbox that helps you create and complete common daily tasks. These can be utilizing the 5E model science lesson plan generator, math story problems, text leveler tool, multiple choice quiz generator, support with working an e-mail, to team builders and ice breakers. These are just a few of the amazing tools available through this AI technology!
Cost?
January 2024 MagicSchool rolled out their premium level and their free level. The free level allows you to use most of the essential tools and to still copy what is generated. The paid version will save your history and will allow you other options to download the content.

What is it? This is another great AI tool that educators can use to get ideas for lesson plans, correspondence, create questions for videos you are showing your students, generate formative questions, and much more!
Cost?
This is still in beta stage so it is free. Don't be surprised if this begins to charge money when it leaves beta mode.
Tinywow
What is it? This AI tools reminds me a lot of Canva AI tools. This ranges from document writing, background remover, image creator, YouTube text, and video editing.
Cost? This is free!
Chrome Extensions
Claude.ai
This tool is great with taking information and giving feedback, summarizing, and break down the information. What I am excited about with this tool is that you can upload a file and ask for a summary. So one sample I did was took a document that had data information from a recent assessment and this AI tool summarized key data points and trends! Can use this with student writing, give rubric areas, and it will give feedback to student writing.
Perplexity
What is it?
This is another conversation style AI that allows you to ask questions or ideas and get information back. Cool part to this one is that it will cite its resources and you can click on resources to get more information.

This is currently free!
Curipod
What is it?
When you give this site a topic it will create an interactive slide deck! This can include polls, a drawing tool, word cloud, and open ended questions!

Canva Video Background Editor
What is it?
Ever wanted to make the background of your video different without having to use a greenscreen? This part of Canva will allow you to remove the background of any video and put in the background you want. Having students present about a historical event and want the background to be that location? You can add it! Having students research and share about a science concept? Put students into space during their video by just dropping the background, find the background you want and put it on your video. So many cool ways to make students presentations go to a whole new level!

Canva Magic Write
What is it?
Need help with wording your thoughts. Tell it what you are thinking or put in you current draft and it will give you ideas and various other ways to write it out.

Conker
What is it?
This program allows you to put in a topic or copy and paste a reading material you want students to answer questions about. It will then create open-ended questions, fill in the blank, and read and respond questions. What is unique about this program is you can either give students a code to access questions, export to Google Forms, or print off a hard copy of the questions.

Always review the questions that are being asked to ensure it is the content appropriate for your grade level. Sometimes a question can come in that may not align with your learning targets.
Formative AI
What is it?
Formative is not a new website. Formative has been a platform teachers can use to ask questions or quiz students and have students respond in various ways. What is new with Formative AI is that you can now use the functions like ChatGPT to help you generate new standard align questions and students can receive hints.
What is the cost?
There is a free version and also a paid version. The paid version will give you some more options, but try out the free version first to see if it meets your needs. For more features you can purchase for $15/month.
Summarize.tech
What is it?
Want to have a summary for a long YouTube video? Look no further as this program will provide you a summary of the video!

What is it?
This tool will take text you input and put it into charts and graphs!

QuestionWell
What is it?
You can copy and paste text that has information you want students to learn about. This program will then take your text and will write essential questions, multiple choice questions, and learning targets.

You can export the questions to Kahoot, Gimkit, Blooket, Google Forms, and more!!!
Disclaimer!!
Check the questions to ensure it aligns with learning targets. Sometimes a question can get in there that isn't aligned with what you are covering. You can delete that question easily prior to exporting!

What is this?
This program allows you to use AI to create discussion prompts! You can select the number of questions you want it to create for your class. These can be written or verbal roundtable discussions/collaborations. What's extra great about this is you can either give student link, code, OR connect to your Google Classroom!!!
