Choose Your Attitude, Make Their Day, and Be Present
Thanks to Julea, Courtney, Karina, Allie, Eli, and Lynne for providing our Dual Language K Parents with activities, information, and pictures of our first DLI Cohort. It was an incredible meeting and experience! Well done girls!!
Make their Day
Thanks to all of the teachers who did special learning activities with their students that made their day. Market Day and the Wax Museums were a huge hit.
Be Present
Thanks to all of your who were present and spent time interacting with your parents and students at our school wide picnic. This is a wonderful way to end the year.
Play
Thanks to Kyle and Mark who spent time playing with and coaching our 5th grade basketball team. Thanks for giving up your time to offer an extracurricular activity that was enjoyed by all who participated.

FIRST DUAL LANGUAGE KINDERGARTEN COHORT
Last Student Day Notes
Please join the staff for breakfast across the street at 6:15.
Note: Immediately following the student send-off along the drive, we will meet briefly in the library to recognize those staff members not returning next year.
Last Teacher Day on May 30th
Our last teacher day will look a little different than previous years.
As a result of the new Science Adoption and the need to be trained on two kits for next year, the first training day for all K-5 teachers will be on May 30th from 8:00-11. There will be a bus leaving from GHS at 7:35 a.m. to go to Ethos Science Center for the training. You can either choose to ride the bus or provide your own transportation/car pool with others. (Please be aware that the parking lot at Ethos is smaller so space will be limited.) Once you return to GHS and/or finish with the training, please get lunch and then plan to be at the HS for the End of Year Retirement Celebration which will begin at 1:20 p.m. Attendance is expected by all on this day and I know that we will to want to honor our retiree, Gail Nichols, for her many years of service at GCS.
Note: The second day of teacher training for Ethos is being decided upon from the corporation and more information will be forthcoming. All other teachers not involved in the training will be expected to be in the building.
TLT Update
The TLT met on Thursday to look at the NWEA Data from the EOY and how we can begin to implement RTI Model in our building next year. PLEASE PLAN TO MEET IN THE LIBRARY AT 7:35 ON MONDAY MORNING FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON OUR DATA AND THE INTERVENTION SCHEDULE FOR NEXT YEAR.
