Holy Family Updates
February 15, 2023
Dear HFRCS Families,
Happy Hump Day! Another great week here at Holy Family. Thank you to all of our families who organized and came to our Valentine’s Day parties yesterday. The students had so much fun and enjoyed all of their treats.
Our registration is now open to everyone, so if you still did not complete your re-enrollment please do so as we do not want anyone to lose their spot.
Please do not forget about our long President’s Day weekend. There is no school this Friday, 2/17, and Monday, 2/20.
We also have our monthly mass on Ash Wednesday on 2/22 at 8:30am. It is a different time because it will be a mass for St. Joe’s parishioners as well. There is a Stations of the Cross on Thursday at 1:30pm as well if anyone is interested in attending. Mr. Dominic, the seminarian, who teaches classes on Thursdays, will be celebrant.
As always, thank you for your support and dedication to Holy Family and catholic education. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you,
Mr. Elia
Alpha Youth Group
St. Joe’s Parish is starting a youth program called Alpha Youth Group. It is for students in grades 8 through 12 and the program emphasizes our faith over a series of nine meetings. Each meeting begins with a meal, followed by a presentation with a discussion. It is a great opportunity for our children. Any 8th grade student who participates will receive a dress down each week. Below is a link for the program and to register.
Congratulations!
Congratulations to Matthew Adam and Ian Calise for being chosen for the Northeastern Music Programs Honor Band. The members were chosen by teacher recommendations from schools in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland. The concert will take place at Mother of Providence Regional Catholic School on Saturday, April 22.
Hailey Lake, Joseph Webber, and Nicholas McDermond will receive the Northeastern Music Leadership Award as they were also nominated for the ensemble.
COVID Policy Reminder
At Holy Family, our number one priority will always be the safety of our students, staff, and families. We have seen an increase number of positive cases among students the last three days. Nothing to panic about, but we must make sure we are following proper protocols and taking necessary precautions. If we do not work together, we may be facing a mask mandate and/or possible virtual days if the numbers continue to rise.
As a reminder, our COVID Policy is below. So, please make sure you monitor for symptoms.
Everyone will follow the same procedures regardless of their vaccination status.
If you are exposed to someone who is positive with COVID-19
- There is no quarantine period, but masks will be strongly recommended.
If you live with a person(s) who has tested positive for COVID-19
- There is no quarantine period, but masks will be required. The length of time will be confirmed by Nurse Victoria.
If you test positive for COVID-19
- You must contact Nurse Victoria immediately. You will isolate for at least 5 days and be able to return after that time period if you are free of fever and your overall symptoms have improved. Nurse Victoria will confirm your return date and when you will be able to return to being mask optional.
Please do not hesitate to contact myself or Nurse Victoria if you have any questions or concerns.
