9:30AM Session will feature elementary librarians
1:00PM Session will feature secondary librarians
Description: Discuss how Alabama Library Media Specialists can maintain equitable access to information for patrons via a library media center web presence. In addition, discuss how school library media programs and library media specialists are resources for teaching and learning. They provide technology, print and non-print materials, instruction, and organization to help teachers and students access and use information virtually.
Target Audience: K-12 Library Media Specialists
Session will be live with 2 guest speakers for each session.
Learning Objectives:
- Discuss best practices for library media center webpages
- Understanding compliance monitoring and how information access on a library media center webpage is integral
- Critically analyze current library media center webpages for needs and updates to better serve patrons information and access to information

If you have never been to an EdCamp, I encourage you to come out to this free event! You will be able to connect with library media specialists from around the state (even some public librarians, too!) and collaborate to drive the professional learning you are seeking.
And if you aren't excited after that description there will be DOOR PRIZES - lots of them!
