People immigrate to different countries to escape things such as religious persecution, and political commerce, and to escape war and slavery which is still done illegally most in many countries today. Most people immigrate to the united states because we are a free country and you have rights as a citizen if you can become a citizen.

Legal immigration

legal immigration means you have to come through Ellis Island and earn your citizenship to become a United States citizen, without doing that you are in the United States illegally and can be deported back to your home country or where ever you might have come from.
