A Message from the Principals
Hello Millbridge families,
This edition of the Cub Corner contains important information about the changes to our instructional program in grades 1 & 2. Please be sure to review all sections that are applicable to your child.
The Delran Township School District will be closed for spring break and will reopen on Monday, April 12th. Starting on April 12th, we are resuming a five day a week instructional program while maintaining the cohorts. All students who are currently attending school on all in-person days and the Rancocas cohort will attend school in person on Wednesday, April 14th. First and second grade students in the Delaware cohort will participate in concurrent learning following the schedule that is posted in Canvas.
The weather forecast for the break is currently filled with lots of mild, sunny days. We are hoping that all of our students have an opportunity to unplug and enjoy the break. We look forward to seeing you when we return.
Educationally yours,
Mrs. Lowe and Mrs. Murphy

Starting April 19th
We are excited to welcome our hybrid students back to school full time. There are no changes to the in-person kindergarten program or the fully remote classes (Ms. Ptaszenski and Mrs. Bivans). The concurrent teaching schedule will have some adjustments for time to account for travel time in the building as students will be eating breakfast, snack, and lunch outside of the classroom. For students who are attending school in person, concurrent instruction will only be available in the event of quarantine. If your child attends school in person and you would like to request temporary participation in concurrent instruction, please contact Mrs. Lowe or Mrs. Murphy.
Due to the number of students enrolled in our kindergarten classes, we are able to continue to maintain social distance at 6 feet. In our 1st and 2nd grade classrooms, we will be following the new CDC and NJDOH guidelines and students will maintain a social distance of 3 feet. All other health mitigation and safety protocols will remain in place.
Expectations for Students Working Virtually
Earlier this year, we shared the District-Wide Norms and Protocols for Virtual learning which can be accessed here, and found on your child’s homeroom page in Canvas. We would greatly appreciate it if you would take a moment to review this information again. As we shared earlier, the at-home students will be displayed on a large screen on the back wall (think Brady Bunch or Hollywood squares). We realize that students are learning in a variety of settings and that there may be things in the environment that are beyond your control. If an at home environment becomes disruptive to the classroom, your child’s teacher will try to discreetly address the situation. If the situation can not be addressed discreetly, your child may be muted or removed from the meet. For privacy reasons, teachers cannot turn on or off students’ cameras. If such a situation arises, you will be contacted as soon as possible by the school so that a resolution can be reached.
Travel
In the event that you are traveling outside of New Jersey for spring break, please let your child’s teacher and our school nurses know so that we can determine if a quarantine is needed and make the necessary arrangements.
Transportation
As Dr. Brotschul shared, starting on April 19th, the buses will be resuming normal routes and additional routes are Not being added, This means, there will be a noticeable increase of the number of students riding on the busses. The busses will continue to have all windows open to provide air circulation. The health mitigation protocols will continue, including students being required to wear masks.
With the changes to transportation, we realize a number of families may decide to drive their children to school. As a result, we will be providing additional opportunities for families to obtain a FastPass to make dismissal quicker. Mrs. Stillwell will be at dismissal the week of April 19th to take your picture for the Fast Pass. If you would like to get a Fast Pass, please make sure both the Paperwork 2020-2021 and Fast Pass 20-21 Programs are completed in FamilyID. Additionally, the adults on the Fast Pass must be listed in Realtime. Allow for extra time to get your picture taken.
If you are dropping your child off, please turn onto Conrow Road from Hartford Road. Students should be seated on the driver’s side of the car so that our staff can assist them in exiting and take their temperature before they enter the building.
If you are picking your child up at the end of the day, please make sure you bring a government issued photo identification or this year’s Fast Pass. Parents and guardians must park and line up along the side of the building to enter and pick up their child. If you are walking to and from school or are parked on the main road or in the main parking lot, please be sure to walk back out to the Conrow Road sidewalk and use the crosswalks. Only Delran staff are permitted to be on the sidewalks in the bus loop during dismissal. Please do not cut across the bus loop to get to the parking lot.
Material Pick-up
When your child's teacher needs you to pick up materials, he or she will notify you directly. Materials will be available for you to pick-up at your convenience during school hours. The office is open from 8:00-4:00 Monday through Friday. To ensure our students' safety and allow for an orderly arrival and dismissal process, we respectfully ask that parents and guardians do not arrive to pick up materials during our arrival times (8:40-9:20) or during our dismissal (3:00-3:40). Thank you for your cooperation.
Changing Programs
The following information is taken directly from Dr. Brotschul's correspondence.
Understanding that there may be families who wish to move programs, school principals will make schedule modifications between April 2, 2021 and April 14, 2021. Your request must be received via email during the above timeframe. Changes after April 14, 2021, will not be honored.
Please send an email to jlowe@delranschools.org if you would like your child to return to in-person learning.
