ATTENTION 8th Grade Parents & Students
All 8th graders are required to fill out a 4-year planner for high school. Your student has been given instructions on how to fill in the planner in their advisory class. Please note that these planners need parent approval. All the information about 4-year planners can be found on the VMS website.
Here you will find the YouTube video with instructions on how to save and fill out the planner. (Under 4-year planner instructions video.)
You will also find the Course Description Handbook and the 4-year planner.
Please listen to the YouTube video, encourage your student through the process, and after reviewing your student's planner, click on the Parent/Guardian Approval Link on the planner and push submit.
Thank you so much!
RETAKE Math ASSESSMENTS
Our Math Intervention Teacher, Mrs. Shalz, is available during the sessions listed below to provide math 6, 7, and 8 students with extra practice and an opportunity to retake assessments to demonstrate deeper understanding of the grade level math concepts. Please Note: This help is not available for students in honors or advanced math. Students in honors and advanced math should work with their math teacher to schedule a re-assessment.
Students should bring their graded Math assessment so Mrs. Shalz can help make corrections. Students are welcome to attend retake sessions even if they don’t have their graded Math assessment.
