Why it happened?
Ernesto Miranda was arrested and confessed to rape and kidnapping. He was charged without having his rights recited to him and an attorney present. The police officers did not inform him of this Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination, or his Sixth Amendment right to the assistance of an attorney.

It made the Fifth and Sixth amendment more present during court.
