Leadership Training
Become a certified FCCLA Peer Educator
The five areas to be addressed are:
STOP the Violence –Students Taking on Prevention - a peer-to-peer outreach initiative that empowers young people to recognize, report and reduce the potential for youth violence; Fraud/Financial Education – teaching peers to be more aware of deceptive practices in the marketplace and how to financially prepare for their future; Civic Engagement-teaching peers the importance o being involved in the community and the value of being a registered voter; Student Body – helping fight the epidemic of obesity in our state and addressing Teen Safe Driving and Families Acting for Community Traffic Safety-support safe driving amongst teens.

Chapter Peer Education
Teams will be
- provided in-depth information on the topic of the student’s choice
- provided career opportunities available to members
- taught presentation skills
- taught or re-taught the FCCLA planning process
- forming plans for local training and community service/service learning projects
- practicing training skills
- learning evaluation skills
- learning the reporting method that must be made to the state FCCLA office
So How Can I Attend?
The first 8 students that join FCCLA, bring their $25 dues and return their permission slip for the training will be able to go. (The Peer Education Training only accepts a limited number of students. It is filled on a first come first served basis.)
