September 21, 2018
Colts,
We had a full week at CMS hopping with activity. On Monday we had an opportunity to have our Campus Excellence Committee (CEC) meeting. We had many of our student-leaders representing the campus to further our conversation on what we can do to continue to improve to be one of the BEST middle schools around. On Tuesday, Stephen Mackey from 2Words Character Development came and spoke to all of our students, giving us words of encouragement and motivation. We continued the week with some fantastic student-learner classroom environments, pushing our academics forward with rigor, relevance, and engagement throughout the building. Continuing the week, during the GCISD PTA President's meeting, our CMS-PTA was recognized for winning the Texas PTA President's Challenge and also the Golden Apple of Distinction award! If you haven't joined our amazing PTA team yet, you can click on the link here to get signed up. Wrapping up some of the highlights of the week, our athletics teams (football and volleyball) experienced various forms of success and improvement. Last night our 7th grade Lady Colts Volleyball A team had an amazing comeback win with the game winning point videoed below. All of Colt Country has so much to be proud of! Go Colts!

Thank you to all who volunteered.
Stay tuned to Colt Corner, Colleyville Middle School PTA Facebook page, and website www.cmscoltspta.org for information about the rescheduled event.
