News from this week
Thank you so much to all the parents who came to our holiday party today! The kids had a lot of fun making an ornament and card and eating the delicious food. A special thanks to our room moms, Leanne Gotvald and Laurie Jay, for organizing all the activities and food!
I also wanted to thank everyone for the wonderful gifts I received from the students! I'm very appreciative of everything, but I am most thankful for all of your wonderful children. I love teaching and being with them each and every day!

The Six Flags reading log was sent home last Friday. This reading log is to be used for the next 3 weeks. It is due on the day we return from winter break. Every child who turns in his/her reading log will receive a free ticket to Six Flags good for the summer months. If you misplaced the reading log, please visit the link below:

Coming up next week
Reading: We will review Reader’s workshop rules and take a practice ELA exam that will be scored by UGA.
Writing: We will write about winter break. We will also explore more informational topics.
Math: We will multiply fractions by whole numbers. We will also take a practice assessment that will be scored by UGA.
Science: We will start our unit on Sound when we return from winter break.
Social Studies: We will study the Revolutionary War after our unit on sound.

Amy Knapp, the mom of Riley in our class, let me know that her family has set up a beautiful light display at their home that is timed to music. Accessing eBooks From a Device
Step #1: Search for the Follett Brytewave K-12 App in your store
Step #2: Open up the app and enter your State, School name and then login using your
student number and password.***Make sure you select the “Stay logged in” option.
Accessing eBooks From a Computer
From a computer- Login to your eClass page and click on “Media Catalog” (see picture below). Then, you can login to our catalog using your username and password. To search for an ebook type the title or type ebook to see a list of all available ebooks.
