Pine Road Express
Pine Road Grows Great Kids
- A MESSAGE FROM DR. SWANK -
Dear Pine Road Families,
Welcome to our first Pine Road Express newsletter. On the second and fourth Thursday of each month I will send a newsletter to our community. This newsletter is designed to be informative, comprehensive, and allow for you to easily access information. Our PTA newsletter will now be linked via the Pine Road Express. Please continue to follow us on social media (links below!) for ongoing updates. If there is urgent information that must be disseminated, our community will be contacted via phone and email blasts as needed.
Fall is here, and with it brings a settling in to routines. The boys and girls of Pine Road are happily in their classrooms, continuing their good work and focusing on doing their best each and every day! As the newness of the school year begins to fade, I encourage you to remind your child(ren) that each day is a new beginning. At school, we make an attempt to remind the students that they have the power to make choices that will shape their day.
October is an exciting month here at Pine Road! There are many events on our calendar from field trips, assemblies, buddy class days, and of course our Halloween Parade and class parties! More information pertaining to our Halloween celebration can be found by clicking here.
Here’s to a great month!
Sincerely,
Brian J. Swank, Ed.D.
Principal

Be Your Own Super Hero!
Pine Road is thrilled to be participating in the No Place for Hate (NPH) program for a third year! Our NPH theme this year is “Be Your Own Superhero”. To kick-off this theme, the whole school participated in Superhero Day on Friday, September 14th. Students and staff dressed as their favorite hero—a comic book superhero, a historical, sports or literary hero, a family member, etc. It was a great day with a great message! We will celebrate this theme the last Friday of each month, beginning on October 26th.
