The Crissman Connection
May 20, 2022
Hi Crissman Families,
I can't believe this was our last full week of school for the 2021-2022 school year! There is a lot of information in this week's Connection. Please be sure to take some time to review.
M-Step testing: All official testing dates are completed! Parent reports will be send out in the fall from the Michigan Department of Education.
Field Day: Crissman Field Day is June 7th, rain or shine. We are excited to be bringing back this awesome day for our students. Mrs. Verdoodt has spent a lot of time organizing a great day for our Crissman Cougars. She is also asking for volunteers for the event. Please see the sign-out below and schedule for the day. If you would like to volunteer, please be sure you have a background check on file. This is required for Field Day Volunteers and Classroom Volunteers. Please have background in by Thursday, May 26th.
Computers and iPads: Students in grades 1st and 6th will be turning in their technology at the end of the school year. Each student must turn in their iPad and charger (1st grade) and Laptop and charger (6th grade). Teachers and the office will be taking inventory on the devices.
Device turn-in for 1st grade is scheduled for: Monday, June 6, 2022
Device turn in for 6th grade is scheduled for: Wednesday, June 8, 2022.
Laptop Chargers: Students are responsible for the charger along with their laptop. This applies to iPads, as well. The replacement cost for a laptop charger is $39 for each charger. If a charger is lost, a replacement will be issued to the student and a charge for $39 will be entered in Power School. Checks can be made out to Crissman Elementary to cover the lost charger.
Crissman PTA SPRING FAIR: Our PTA Spring Fair will be here soon! I know that they still have some spots available for volunteers! Please be sure to sign-up today! We are looking forward to a WONDERFUL event...but need your help :). Click here to sign-up: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20F0844A5A822A5FF2-20221
**For more information, please scroll down to the PTA section of the Connection.
Breakfast & Lunch for Fall 2022: The federal government will no longer be providing free breakfast and lunch to all students. Starting in the fall of 2022, students will need to purchase a breakfast or lunch (costs to come soon). Families in need can complete a Free/Reduced Lunch application for fall 2022 AFTER July 1, 2022. More information located under the UCS menu below.
I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Just a reminder that Friday (5/27) and Monday (5/30) we have NO SCHOOL.
