Lincoln Lions Update
August 2022
Our Mission:
A Note from Miss Pape
Climbing to the Highest of Heights: 2022-2023
Hello to all Lincoln Families and a warm welcome to all new Lincoln families! The Lincoln staff is ready to welcome everyone back! We hope everyone is having a wonderful summer. This newsletter is full of all kinds of information! We have included Lincoln PTA information at the bottom of the newsletter as well.
Teacher/classroom assignments will be viewable by parents/guardians in Infinite Campus
on/after August 4th (in the afternoon). We are working hard on finalizing registrations and placing students appropriately into classrooms as needed. If you have not completed the registration process, please kindly contact our school office to finalize the process as soon as possible. Your child will not be assigned to a classroom until the registration process has been completed.
We welcome all of our families new to Lincoln to join us for a New Family Orientation on Wednesday, August 10 at 6:00 pm. We will talk all about Lincoln and be available to answer any questions you may have! Our first PTA Meeting of the year will occur right after at 7:00 pm.
The Lincoln teachers and staff would like to officially invite all of our students to Meet the Teacher on Tuesday, August 16th from 1:30-2:30 pm. We kindly ask students to bring their school supplies to Meet the Teacher. If you and your child are not able to attend our scheduled Meet the Teacher event, your child may bring his/her supplies on their first day of school. School supply lists have been linked here for your review.
The First Day of School for students in Grades 1-6 is a HALF DAY this year, from 8:25-11:25 a.m. on Wednesday, August 17th. Lunch will not be served on this day. All kindergarten students will begin on Thursday, August 18th. Drop off will begin at 8:10 am each day. Every Friday, students are dismissed at 2:15 p.m. to provide time for our staff to engage in professional development activities. Please see below for details about our school hours.
Communication is an important connection between home and school. If you have any questions, concerns, or comments, please feel free to contact me at 847-963-5705 or papee@ccsd15.net. We are always happy to assist you.
I am honored to have the opportunity to serve our community as the Principal at Lincoln School. I am looking forward to sharing many rewarding experiences with your children and you as we partner together for a successful, exciting, and productive 2022-2023 school year.
Best,
Ellen Pape
Proud Lincoln School Principal

Register Your Child If You Have Not Done So Already!
Registration is required every year.
If you have already registered your child for the 2022/23 school year, thank you—no further action is required!
With only a few weeks left before the start of the new school year, we want to remind our families of the new registration and residency verification process. If you have not yet registered your child(ren) for the 2022-23 school year, you MUST complete your registration and proof of residency as soon as possible so your child(ren) is able to start school on the first day of school. Children that do not have a completed registration or proof of residency will NOT be assigned a classroom.
Online student registration for the 2022-23 school year is open. If you have not already started this process for your student(s), please visit our registration page to start this process.
Register your child. Registration is the first step in getting ready for the upcoming school year. After registering online, parents will need to go in person to your child's school and provide:
Health Forms. Required health, immunization, dental, and eye exams for students entering preschool, kindergarten, sixth-grade, and those who are new to the district.
Prove Residency. If you have a student that is starting Kindergarten, entering 4th grade, or entering 7th grade, you are required to prove residency in District 15. Our residency webpage outlines the documents you will need to provide to prove residency.
Pay student fees. Our student fee webpage outlines the District’s student fee structure and the three ways fees can be paid.
All of the above steps of the enrollment process must be completed prior to the start of the school year. Students of families that, when required, do not prove residency, will not be able to attend class in a District 15 until the family’s residency is verified.
