The West Central Wolf Howl

September 2020

We Did It!

Parents, teachers, students, staff, custodial workers, food service workers, administrators, and anyone else who had a hand in these first few weeks back to school, we did it! We’ve made it to September. We look forward to another wonderful month together (virtually or face to face) at West Central Elementary School.

At West Central Elementary, we do things the RCS Way! We are Ready to Learn, Courteous, and Safe!

Flexible Learning Day

Tuesday, Sep. 8th, 7:45am-2:30pm

Your Home!

Flexible Learning Days are opportunities for students to continue their learning at home with a variety of options that include digital resources, paper and pencil assignments and hands-on activities while teachers participate in professional learning communities. Students will receive assignments from their teachers to complete at home throughout the day on Tuesday, September 8.

ATTENDANCE MATTERS!

Children who are chronically absent in preschool, kindergarten, and first grade are much less likely to read at grade level by the third grade. Students who cannot read at grade level by the end of third grade are four times more likely than proficient readers to drop out of high school.
