Buffalo Express

December 4

Berryton Families,

This week our students and staff have jumped into full remote learning. We have already learned so much from partnering with parents this week, and we feel excited about the learning that will continue for the next few weeks leading up to the winter break. Below are a few specific items to note:

  • Videos and Background Noise- Our biggest challenge this week have been teaching students to keep their videos on continually during live instruction. This is really important so that staff can have meaningful interactions with students. Additionally, students need to be in a space away that is quiet and allows them to fully focus on instruction without distractions. I've attached a few pictures below of some tips and suggestions for maximizing learning in a remote setting.

  • Office Availability- Our Office will be fully staffed and open on a daily basis from 8-4. Additionally, on Thursdays our office will still be open until 6 pm to allow for the pick up of remote learning materials. If you have any question about technology don't hesitate to call (785.861.1300) and you will be connected with a Berryton team member who can assist you.

With Buffalo Pride,

Mrs. Bervert

About Me

As an elementary principal I enjoy working collaboratively with staff members to support student learning. I am passionate about continuing to learn professionally, and building relationships with staff and students at Berryton Elementary. When I'm not serving at Berryton Elementary I am usually with my husband and two sons. We can be found at sporting events, cheering on Kansas State University, or just enjoying a movie at home.
