Earth Week Edition!
As you all may be aware, Earth Day is next week on April 22nd! To celebrate Earth Day, UWB and Cascadia College are working together to create a week of fun and educational programs. In this edition of the OWL post we will be highlight just a few of these programs, but if you want to check out the entire weeks worth of programs click on this link
Wetland and Green Conservatory Tours
Join Professor Warren Gold and OWL Kramer Canup for walk into the UWB and CC wetlands to see all of the great activity happening in the Sarah Simonds Green Conservatory. There will be two tours, one at 11:00AM and another at 1:00PM, starting at the Sarah Simonds Green Conservatory.
Tree Planting and Fun Fair
Join the Outdoor Wellness Leaders and Facilities Services and do something that will have a concrete, positive impact on our campus community. The Earth Day Network's theme for this year is Trees for the Earth. Join us on April 22nd from 11:00AM-3:00PM and plant trees along the bike path by the Boardwalk. The first 50 students will be given a free picnic lunch ticket when they plant a tree! After you plant a tree, join the Outdoor Wellness Leaders and celebrate Earth Day on the Sports Field with art projects, lawn games, and and much more!
