Sacramento PRAYS
Uniting people to pray in the Greater Sacramento Region.
It takes a village!
This last week, 35 leaders from the Greater Sacramento Region came together for an overnight retreat at The Home Of Peace in the Oakland Hills. They joined together to pray for our region, for one another, to unite in worship and to fellowship as one body. It was an awesome time and an honor to be with these amazing leaders seeking to see God move in a mighty way.
As we enter the summer, our youth need prayer more than ever. They will not have school to occupy a good portion of their time. They will have more distractions that can lead them astray or into making poor decisions.
Last night as I was watching the news, I saw a large number of parents in our city gathered together in a neighborhood with signs saying "Save Our Kids". I heard one father's interview that they want this to be a summer where kids can enjoy themselves instead of going to more funerals and mourning their losses. The violence, drug abuse and poor decisions are taking the youth of our city everyday. Please join us in prayer and facilitate conversations with others that will motivate them to pray and sow into the lives of our youth. We have been given a stewardship for the next generation. We can't tun a blind eye and hope everything turns out ok. The saying goes " It takes a village". This is our village. It belongs to us and not the enemy. Blessings my friends. Let us finish well!
Blessings,
Gary DeGennaro
