LECC TIGER TALK
LECC Newsletter- October 14, 2021
Happy Friday, Jr!
Hello LECC Tiger Cub Families!
I hope this email finds you well! We had a short, yet busy week here at LECC with our Tiger Cubs! We wrapped up the first quarter of learning with our students and team participating in the LEPTA 8th Annual Walkathon today! We were so thankful to have a bit of normal back at LECC with holding the Walkathon IN PERSON this year! Word on the street is that our Loveland community exceeded the LEPTA's fundraising goal by over $10,000!!! THANK YOU!
As a reminder, Tiger Cubs do not attend school tomorrow, Friday, 10/15/2021. Our LECC team will use tomorrow to wrap up our first quarter interim reporting and curriculum planning. Our LECC Kindergarten Interims are set to be released in your child's eBackpack on 10/22/2021.
This week I revisited with our Tiger Cubs how to show care, respect, and responsibility while riding our school bus. If you have a Tiger Cub that rides a school bus, our behavior expectations for riding the school bus are to stay seated, keep hands to self, and use a quiet voice. The LECC team and LCSD bus drivers appreciate you reinforcing these expected behaviors at home with your Tiger Cub in order to keep each other safe. Thank you!
Please enjoy this week's story, Pumpkin Heads, by Wendell Minor. Mrs. Jones, one of our LECC KG teachers, recommended it to me while I was on the hunt for the PERFECT book for this week's story. I hope your Tiger Cub finds some time this weekend to enjoy this fall-themed book!
Have a wonderful three-day weekend! It’s a great day to be a Tiger Cub!

Mass Notification Testing
Loveland Tiger Families,
We will be testing our new mass notification system on Friday, October 15, 2021, around 4 pm.
During the test, you should receive a recorded phone message, a text message, and an email.
We are doing this at the end of the day on an In-Service day, to minimize the worry or disruption that a message like this might cause. It will be clear that this message is only a test.
This is the system that will be used to notify you of weather-related closures or other emergency information. The message will include instructions for updating your contact information.
Thank you,
Mike Broadwater,
Superintendent,
Loveland City Schools

Ready to Save the Day for Loveland Early Childhood Center? Loveland City Schools is currently hiring substitute teachers and educational aides through our partnership with Sub Solutions. Car Rider~REMINDERS
Hello Everyone!
We have a significant number of car riders. It becomes extremely dangerous when the car line backs up onto the main road. With that said, we need to make sure that everyone is following our rolling drop off/pick up protocol. As the weather starts to get cooler and inclement weather becomes a factor there are a few reminders to share:
- PLEASE have your kids ready to exit your car. Masks on, backpacks ready and car seats unbuckled if possible. If there are any special items being brought to school, please have them ready to go. Again, it becomes a safety issue if we have to get things out of the trunk.
- PLEASE stay in your vehicles. For safety purposes, we will take care of getting your child out/into the car. If your child cannot buckle themselves into their car seats, please pull into a parking space and take your time fastening your child into the car correctly.
- PLEASE do not pull out of the car line at any time. You must wait for the car in front of you to exit.
- PLEASE make sure grandparents, neighbors and babysitters are all aware of our drop off protocol. This is for their safety as well.
As always, keeping our Tiger Cubs and staff safe is our main priority.
We appreciate everyone's cooperation.

Logging into Digital Programs at Home
Hello Loveland Families!
To access all district-adopted digital programs, your child will be using a QR code that your
kindergarten teacher has provided to you. It is important that you use the following directions to help your child access digital programs at home. We use a single sign-on system, Clever, so your student can access them. It will not work by going directly to the digital program website. Also, if you have multiple children across buildings, it will be important to sign out of one child’s account after use so that the other child can log into their account. The QR codes are only being used at LECC. Should you have any questions, please contact your child’s teacher.
- clever.com/oauth/badges/login (we recommend bookmarking this address)
- You will come to a screen that prompts to allow your camera to be activated. Then your screen will look like this:
- Hold up your child's QR CODE: A green check will pop up when it has been read.
- You will go immediately into your child's Clever Dashboard.
