OPPORTUNITY FOR 𝔽ℝ𝔼𝔼 𝕋𝕌𝕋𝕆ℝ𝕀ℕ𝔾 FOR STUDENTS IN GRADES 3-12
If you ever need help with your school work, there’s someone available to help you 24/7 on Paper.
Available anytime, anywhere, no matter what you’re working on, you’ll be able to connect with an expert tutor instantly. These are real people who are friendly, approachable, and want to help you succeed. To learn more about Paper and how you can get started, visit the MDE + Paper Website and check out the student resources.
To get started with a tutoring session all you have to do is log in, ask your question, and they’ll give you a helping hand. To login:
Type your school’s name
Log in via Google using your school credentials
Once you let a tutor know what you’re working on, you can expect them to ask you questions about what you’ve tried, what you understand, what you don’t understand, and from there they’ll talk you through the steps. Paper is a place for you to improve, and that doesn’t happen when you just look up answers.
If you have any questions about your account, please ask your teacher.

Renewing Your Car Tag Soon?
WHY buy a G Car Tag? IT HELPS TEACHERS!
Teachers can apply for $500 grants from the $30 collected fee on each tag. This grant money is awarded to Gulfport School District teachers who complete an accepted grant application. Our teachers work so hard for your children. They often buy items for students and their classrooms out of their personal funds.
You can help :
Ask about a G Tag at the Harrison County Tax Collection Office or switch to the G tag when you renew your car tag.
Get your G Tag to show support for your community and help raise money for teacher grants, while personalizing your car all at once! #LoveGSDTeachers #MyGtag #AnchoredInExcellence #YouMeandGSD .

Designated drop-off and pick-up areas are on the front and back porches of school
DROP-OFF: begins at 7:00 a.m.
There is staff supervision in both areas beginning at 7:00 a.m. Student safety is our #1 priority, so please wait until you see a staff member outside before dropping off your child.
PICK-UP: begins at 2:30 p.m.
Changes to pick-up must be made prior to 12:00 noon, and students cannot be checked out after 2:00 p.m. Please remain in your car and follow in the car-rider line to pick up your child.
Safety FIRST!

Revisiting Difficult Learning Standards
We currently have 353 instructional videos, and each video provides a great lesson listed by standard for students and/or their parents to view. Parents can also visit the Mississippi Education Series link below to view other recorded lessons by GSD teachers and staff.
DISTRICT COMMON ASSESSMENT SCHEDULE

Have your child read books and take an AR test afterwards, so he/she may achieve his/her term AR goal. AR is taken as a daily grade at BVE.
Our i-Ready program is up and running. Please encourage your child to complete his/her i-Ready lessons and required minutes each week.
Students are provided 45 minutes during the instructional week. For students to reach their syllabus goals, they will need to complete additional minutes and puzzles at home.
Thank You, Friends of BVE!
