Facilities Study Message from Superintendent Bellizzi
From Nurse Connolly
Good afternoon from the health office!
We are experiencing a lot of illness lately at Cook Hill School. We are also seeing a lot of students coming into school ill. Here are some general guidelines to follow when considering if you should send your child to school:
• If your child is experiencing cold symptoms (cough, runny nose, sore throat, nasal congestion, etc) we ask that you test him/her for covid prior to sending him/her to school. If you need any test kits please let me know and we can get some to you. Please note that even with a negative test, your child should remain home if he/she has a constant cough, constant runny nose, or generally does not feel well.
• If your child has a fever, he/she needs to be fever free for 24 hours (without fever-reducing medication) prior to return to school.
• If your child has vomited, he/she should not return to school for 24 hours from the last time he/she vomited.
• If your child has any discharge from their eyes, he/she should be evaluated by a pediatrician to see if antibiotics are warranted. If an antibiotic is prescribed, your child needs to be on it for 24 hours prior to return to school.
• If your child is diagnosed with strep throat, he/she needs to be on antibiotics for 24 hours prior to returning to school.
With the holidays quickly approaching, we ask that you please keep your child home if he/she is not feeling well. We appreciate your cooperation in helping to ensure that all students and staff have a happy, healthy holiday and school break!
Wishing you all a safe and restful holiday break.

Important Message from Food Services!
Parents,
There seems to be some confusion about whether or not those eligible to receive free or reduced priced school meals can get breakfast each morning, and many families are not taking advantage of school breakfast.
Please be aware that if your child or children are eligible to receive free lunch at school, they are also eligible to receive free breakfast.
Likewise, if your child or children are eligible to receive reduced price lunch, they are also eligible to receive reduced priced breakfast.
The breakfast reduced price is $.30, and the lunch reduced price is $.40.
We encourage all those parents who have students who are eligible to receive free and reduced breakfast to have breakfast at school each school day.
For those students paying full price, breakfast is available at only $2.00 per day.
Thank You,
Food Service
