Summer Reading
Summer Reading began June 1-- New this year, there is no need to sign up-- we just ask kids and teens to read 15 hours for a free book visit www.BeavertonLibrary.org/SRP for all the details, print a log, or make a log at home. (Want it in Spanish? Here is information about summer reading for Kids and Adults.) I’ve attached logs to this email.
Want Araceli to explain summer reading to your students? Here are 2-minute videos in English and Spanish for kids.
Things to do from the Library
While there are no events in the library buildings this summer we do have lots of activities happening online, and in the community! Attached is our kids summer event flyer with everything going on online.
Looking for something to do outside? Our Don’t Let the Pigeon Dive the Bus scavenger hunt starts June 15 and runs all summer long! Would you like Errol Hassell to be part of the scavenger hunt? You can print and post the attached pigeon on your school’s window for kids to find!
And for students looking for a challenge to do at home our librarians have created a new digital escape room each month for the summer.
BCL to Go (get books curbside this summer!)
Beaverton City Library is currently testing ways to get books and materials into your hands safely. We will be announcing the roll out our new BCL to Go service in the next week!
