Making Community Connections
-One such opportunity is the CHOP Pajama Day fundraiser listed below.
-Students are also making Community Outreach trips to visit with senior citizens to share their musical and artistic talents.
-We are starting to collect items for our Martin Luther King Day of Service activity in January. We will be tying fleece blankets to donate to a local youth organization, Valley Youth House, that serves children and teens who are experiencing emergency homelessness. We will also be collecting toiletries (shampoo, soap, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes) to make care packages for this organization.
We are in need of toiletry donations. We are also looking for donations of the fleece blanket kits. These are sold on Amazon, at Jo-Ann Fabric, Walmart, AC Moore, and Hobby Lobby. Any size is appreciated. Collection bins will be in the MA lobby.
All of these activities help our students to think of others in their community. We hope you will support us in these efforts.

LMTSD Bullying Prevention Information
We wanted to provide some information to families following our LMTSD Parent/Guardian Bullying Prevention Information survey. Below are some answers to some Frequently Asked Questions and information related to district procedures.
Are you aware of the anonymous reporting system being used in Pennsylvania, Safe2Say Something?
Safe2Say Something is a statewide anonymous, 24-7, reporting process for a variety of safety concerns. Click HERE for more information on this initiative.
Are you aware of the Lower Moreland Township School District Harassment/Bullying Reporting Form?
This form is used to gather information about incidents related to bullying. Students, parents, teachers, and administrators can all use this form. This form can be found on each school’s website. Click HERE to view the form.
As a parent, I have a clear understanding of the school's policies, practices, and procedures related to issues of harassment and bullying.
All reported incidents related to bullying are investigated, regardless of how they are reported. The District Code of Conduct is the structure used to apply consequences. Cases are referred to the police if the nature of the incident requires it.
We continue to partner with students, staff, and families to provide a safe environment for all students.

Murray Avenue PTA News & Events
-We are hoping to spread a little holiday cheer for local families in need. We are collecting gift cards which will then be distributed to the families. Especially needed are gift cards for stores like Giant, Target, Walmart, or a Visa gift card, but anything would be greatly appreciated. Please send any gift cards or monetary donations in an envelope marked "MAPTA Families In Need," and we will coordinate the giving with the school. PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR DONATIONS BY THE END OF THIS WEEK (12/13). Thank you in advance for your generosity.
Join us for the Murray Ave PTA meeting on Wednesday, Jan 8th at 9:15 AM in the MA Library.
Cafeteria Information
Breakfast and Lunch menus are posted on a new interactive website, Nutrislice. Our innovative and interactive site and mobile app make our school menus more convenient and informative than ever before! Download the Nutrislice App from the App Store or get it on Google Play and then search Lower Moreland.
Food sold during the school day is required to meet nutrition standards and are referred to as Smart Snacks. Smart Snacks encourage students to make healthier snack choices to help give them the nutrition they need to grow and learn. Check out the 2019-2020 price list for the list of snacks we serve in the cafeteria.
Murray Ave. had their Recipe of the Month on December 5th. The Recipe of the Month is an innovative and homestyle recipe that is carefully crafted by our chefs. For December, we choose Buffalo Chicken Alfredo due to Pasta Bar being one of the students' favorite meals. The students loved the spicy twist on the typically alfredo sauce.
