From our Principal
We are delighted to say that this week our roll and staff numbers are close to normal.
We are also delighted to announce that after almost two years of planning and building, we are very, very close to having our new building open.
The furniture is in, the garden is planted... we are just waiting on final signoff and finishing touches (like wifi!) and we will be able to begin to use and enjoy this beautiful new learning environment.
This morning, (Friday 6 May) we held a blessing for the building, to which we have invited many of the people who have been directly involved in the planning, development and build. We are incredibly proud of the combined efforts of so many people who have worked so hard to deliver a beautiful end result, on time and on budget, despite the challenges of global supply issues and a pandemic!
On Tuesday 10 May, from 2.00-3.00pm we will be opening the building for our school community to come to see this wonderful space first hand. We invite you to come in, explore the class spaces, talk to some of our students and see what we are so proud of.
We would love to see you there.
Our teachers met on the last Friday of the School break to reconnect, continue our own learning journey and strengthen whanaungatanga. We will continue this term to bring our people of Puketapu together, creating strong bonds and a sense of belonging.
Whangaungatanga is part of who we are as kaitiaki of Puketapu.
