Land vs. Water

Earth's surface is made up of various materials that heat and cool differently. For example, land and water heat and cool different. This causes the phenomenon of land and sea breezes. Due to the differences of heating and cooling, the temperature, density, and pressure of the air changes at different locations during the day and night which causes breezes at shorelines.
