Any middle school student who has submitted documentation to show the completion of the 75-hour SSL graduation requirement (for the first time in middle school) by March 30, 2023, will receive the Superintendent’s SSL Award!

Additional March 2023 SSL Opportunities

Spring Break for students starts Friday, March 31 and ends Monday, April 10. Students will return to school on Tuesday, April 11.

Families, please note that the school building will be closed on Monday, April 3 and Tuesday, April 4. However, school administration will be checking emails and the school voicemail on Monday, April 3 and Tuesday, April 4. Please email a school administrator or leave a voicemail at the school if you need support. There will be an MCPS systemwide closure from Wednesday, April 5 through Monday, April 10.

Paint Branch High School will be hosting a Fentanyl Forum on Saturday, March 25 from 9:00-12:00. Please see flyer below.

The Kid Museum is hosting a free event for all Parkland Families on Sunday, April 16 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Families can visit the Kid Museum located at 3 Bethesda Metro Center, Bethesda, MD 20814. This event is for all members of the family and will include many hands-on STEM activities like:

• Robot Tech Arena
• 3D Printing Fabrication Lab
• Creative Textile Studio
• Interactive Electronics Studio
• Spacious Woodworking Studio
• and much more!

In recognition of March as Women’s History Month, the Montgomery County Commission for Women, Montgomery County Public Libraries and Friends of the Library, Montgomery County is holding its Sixth Annual “Girl Power Contest.” County residents, ages 5 and up, are encouraged to submit a short story, poem, drawing or entry in the medium of their choice that addresses this year’s theme.

Entries can be submitted starting March 1. Entries must be submitted by midnight on Friday, March 31.
