Wildcat Weekly 11/27-12/1
Proud Principal of Pomerado Elementary School
As we wrap up the Thanksgiving break, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to each of you. Having the opportunity to serve the Wildcat community is a gift. Your support and partnership in your child's education are invaluable, and we are truly thankful for your support of our school community.
The success of our students is a result of the collaborative effort between school and home. Your encouragement, involvement in school activities, and dedication to your child's learning journey make a significant difference. Your contributions to our school community are deeply appreciated.
We are excited to announce that we have exceeded our $25,000 fundraising goal for the Wildcat Fun Run! Thank you for your generosity! Since we met our goal, the students will turn me into a human sundae on Friday, 12/1 during Friday Flag. Join us for Friday Flag at 8:45am to be part of the fun.
We hope you have enjoyed time with family and friends over the break.

PUSD Special Education Parent Engagement Liaison
Hello Families of Students served through PUSD Special Education programs and services. I am the new PUSD Parent Engagement Liaison, and I wanted to share my contact information as well as another wonderful resource we offer, the PUSD Parent Ambassadors program.
Parent Ambassadors are parent volunteers who have their own child(ren) accessing special education services through PUSD. They serve as mentors to guide and support parents of children with IEPs or those exploring special education options. Drawing from their own experiences, they offer invaluable insights and advice to encourage collaboration among parents and school staff on behalf of students.
To reach out to a Parent Ambassador, please submit a request through get connected form.

In addition to Engagement policies, Title 1 schools also develop a compact, or 3-way pledge, between teachers, students, and parents/families. The 3-way pledge is also an integral part of being a No Excuses University school. In the pledge, students, parents, and teachers all make specific commits to promote student success. Teachers discuss the pledge with students at school and with parents during parent-teacher conferences.

A big thank you to our fantastic chair of the run, Andrea Rodriguez Chamberlin and to the run team volunteers who helped make this possible for Pomerado. It will be great to see the money raised go directly back to Pomerado's enrichment programs and activities!
