So what's up with the gears?

I'm glad you asked! We are getting ready to switch gears to the second semester, but our current gears are still working hard. The second quarter and first semester is finished on Thursday, January 22nd. There is a half day with a noon release Thursday, January 22nd, and no school on Friday, January 23rd. Our third quarter and second semester begins Monday, January 26th.

ActNow begins soon

Under the direction of our school counselor and champion, Miss Kohnert, we will resume our use of ActNow, an anti-bullying program developed by Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. More information regarding the program can be found at this link which is found on my website. Here is a letter with a brief explanation of what our students will be doing with regards to the program. Please feel free to contact Miss Kohnert or me with any questions you might have.

7th and 8th grade fine arts classes for second semester

Last week, I sent an email to students to choose their fine arts electives for the second semester. It is now school policy for a student to have one fine arts class each semester. Art classes are available every other day and there are four choices for the second semester (3-dimensional, ceramics, digital photography, and 2 dimensional). Band and choir students will remain in these classes, which count for the fine arts requirement, unless other arrangements have been made. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you might have.
