Feedback Form FAQ 22-23
“Feedback Form” Submissions from week of 4/16:
What are you going to do about the amount of school shootings happening?
Great question! We are continuing to work on improving our security procedures and will be having another lock down drill school wide before the end of the school year. Our crisis response team met recently and discussed many ideas and thoughts about improving our security in regards to active shooter drills. Please send us any areas in which you think we could improve. We want to ensure that all of our students and staff to feel safe and protected at all times.
Can you focus more on your students' metal health?
Mental Health is very important to us. Please email me with ideas of what you have in mind. We can touch base with our school's social worker and maybe add some additional programs. We just had a guest speaker come in and talk about self-esteem, respect and confidence to our 5th-8th grade students. Maybe we can add some additional programs next year as well for our younger audience.
Why is the boot camp testing AFTER school is out? Don’t you think this will deter parents from bringing their children back after the last day of school?
We decided this year that if we did another summer learning program, it would need to take place towards the end of the school year. This summer, we are moving almost every classroom in the building. There will be numerous hazards in the building as classrooms are changed, packed up and relocated. This gives more of our students the opportunity for a second chance at proficiency with the re-administration of the end of grade exams because they are already in the building for the reteaching/review. We can't mandate that you bring your student back on Thursday and Friday after school is out, but we'd love our students to be able to test and see that their efforts that last week or so of school weren't for nothing. Many of our students last summer were successful following the intensive, reteaching sessions. Also, we aren't allowed to re-administer the EOGs for a second time during the official school year.
If you missed something or just need clarity on an event, etc. please fill out the form found here: https://forms.gle/L7oKFaRZUuiuh8JH7 This form will be monitored weekly and answers to frequently asked questions will be provided in the weekly Sunday message.
Student Council Fundraising Goal
Clover Garden High School “Field OF DREAMS”
“If you build it, they will come!”
Do you have dreams? The CGS Student Council does! We have set a $25,000 fundraising goal to add outdoor athletic facilities to our new high school campus! Funds will allow us to add a concrete playing surface accommodating basketball, volleyball, and tennis, as well as the PE and Fitness classes! Be on the lookout for campus fundraisers coming soon. If you, your family, your business, your friends, etc., are interested in helping make this project a reality, please submit your tax-deductible contribution to the Clover Garden School front office. Checks can be made out to "CGS PTT"- with the memo line stating- Student Council Goals Drive.
The CGS Student Council has already started its efforts and has raised more than $2K! Together we can make this happen! Have faith–we are keeping alive the Grizzly dream that was started in 2001! #letsgo
