Mrs. Thomas K-2 LEAP News
September/October
Lego Robotics at LEAP!
Your child has been working on engineering! We have built the tallest tower and invented a bobby dropper at LEAP. This week I introduced Lego Robotics for our seated students and Hexbugs for our TVA students. Some teams were successful with the satellite moving and the snail glowing. We will continue to add challenges to this exciting new unit next week!
Problem Solving with Mrs. T
Each day we complete hands on challenges with tangrams or q-bitz. Ask your child their score for the day! We also solve analogies and logic puzzles. I am proud of their work and progress so far. They are keeping growth charts and tracking their growth. One of the questions is: Have you met your goal? They will say Not, yet! :)
Please check their green folder weekly. You will see examples of these activities and their scores.
