KAS Afterschool Offerings
January 2015
After School Art Classes with Jen
January 12th through March 16th (excluding Jan. 19th and Feb. 16th which are holidays).
This session we will be learning easy and fun photo transfer techniques, making recycled robots, painting on canvas and doing some printmaking if we have time. Camp is open to Kindergartners and all other students through 8th grade. Cost is $135.00. There must be a ten student minimum enrollment for camp to proceed. Looking forward to continuing adventures in art making with KAS students in 2015!

Dave's Film Camp
Cost will be $175 per child and will include a light snack. Each camp offered runs for 10 sessions, with calendars for each below. If you are interested in any, please email me at david.montgomery@kentuckyavenueschool.org to confirm your spot! Space for each camp is very limited, so act fast. I'll write you back to confirm. Camp tuition can be paid in cash or checks can be made out to David Montgomery and will be due by the first class. Thanks in advance and hope to see you there!
CAMP 1. 10 weeks, once a week. Fridays, January through March. (1/9, 1/16, 1/23, 1/30, 2/6, 2/20, 2/27, 3/6, 3/13, 3/20)
CAMP 2. 10 weeks, once a week. Wednesdays, January through March (1/14, 1/21, 1/28, 2/4, 2/11, 2/18, 2/25, 3/4, 3/11, 3/18)
CAMP 3. 5 weeks, 2x a week. Wednesdays and Fridays in April (4/1, 4/3, 4/8, 4/10, 4/15, 4//17, 4/22, 4/24, 4/29, 5/1)
Maker Mondays!
8 Mondays from 3:15-4:30
January 12 - March 16, No class on 1/19 or 2/16 (no school those days)
$175 includes snack, instruction and materials.
This class is best for third grade and up, or younger children with hand sewing experience. 5 student minimum, 10 student max.

Spring Break Camp with Dave and Molly!
8:30-4:00
$85.00/day or $400/week - Sign up for any number of days that fits your schedule!
Crafts, Park Time (weather permitting), Games, Dance Parties and more
Snacks Provided, but students must bring a lunch

Creative Writing
Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:15 - 4:30
April 13 - May 6 (8 sessions)
The creative writing camp will help students explore writing poetry and short stories, playing with ideas and learning about writing!
Taught by Jennifer Collins, our NaNoWriMo (writing) camp instructor this year.

Book Making
Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:15 - 4:30
May 11 - May 27 (5 sessions; range includes Memorial Day)
The book making camp will be a chance for students to create their own books using material written beforehand (in the NaNoWriMo camp, in the creative writing camp, or on their own)!
Students will design, lay out and illustrate their stories!
Also led by Jennifer Collins, our NaNoWriMo (writing) camp instructor this year.
